LOVE LIST

ON THE ‘GRAM

Confession time... 🙋🏽‍♀️ There was a time when I’ Confession time... 🙋🏽‍♀️

There was a time when I’d feel guilty for doing *anything* that didn’t involve checking something off someone else’s to-do list.

Take a walk? 🤔
“Guilt.”

Get my hair done? 🤔
“Guilt.”

Sit in the Target parking lot with an iced latte and absolutely no agenda? Somehow... also guilt. 😂

Here’s what I know. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.

These days, I’ve stopped waiting until I’m completely burnt out to choose myself. It doesn’t have to be a vacation or a spa day. Sometimes it’s 15 quiet minutes, an iced latte, and not answering “Mom?” for a whole five minutes.

And guess what? The laundry is still there. The dishes are still there. The world kept spinning. Imagine that! 😂

Sooooooo, let’s normalize putting ourselves on the calendar without apologizing for it.

Now I have to know... what’s your guilt-free self-care ritual? Drop it in the comments because I’m always looking for new ideas (and yes, “hiding in my car” is a completely acceptable answer). 👇🤎

Either way, do you.
Because at the end of the day, 👏🏾WHO👏🏾CARES🤷🏽‍♀️

If that’s not the case, then it might be time to reevaluate. Everyone’s social space is not for everybody…and guess what? That’s a-okay.

It’s mid year review time! Who’s cleaning up their list?🙋🏽‍♀️

I’m not rich. I’m also not the loudest person in t I’m not rich.
I’m also not the loudest person in the room.

But one thing I can say with my whole chest...
I’m still figuring it all out, and I refuse to miss the moments that matter most to my kids.

Not the school performances.
Not the soccer games.
Not the moments when they scan the crowd looking for me.

Through the exhaustion.
Through the pressure.
Through every season of growth...

I showed up.

Because years from now, they won’t remember the cute gifts.
They’ll remember that Mom was there.

And honestly? That’s the kind of wealth I’m trying to build.🤎

Forever cheering on my little coconuts. 🥹
You’re “relaxing” until you remember you forgot to You’re “relaxing” until you remember you forgot to RSVP to the birthday party. Legit just happened to me.

Sigh….mental load of motherhood.
Remembering the dentist appointment, signing permission slips, ordering deodorant before it runs out, dinner, soccer schedules, school emails, oh and you need to bring snacks on Saturday.

Two things that’s genuinely help me.
✨1. Stop trying to remember everything.
If it pops up, straight in the calendar or phone. If it’s not on the calendar, then🤷🏽‍♀️
✨2. Ask for help BEFORE you’re overwhelmed
Not after. Let them kids, partner, whoever in your corner own the task from start to finish.

Motherhood doesn’t have to mean carrying every invisible responsibility alone. 🤎
POV: You showed up thinking you were too tired… Th POV: You showed up thinking you were too tired…
Then remembered your kids are watching how you handle hard things.

There are days I don’t feel like getting out the car.
Some where I’d rather stay home in my oversized tee.

Here’s the thing…
You don’t have to FEEL motivated to keep showing up.

Workouts, career, family, goals, or just making it to Monday from a long weekend? Consistently will beat motivation every single time.

Your reminders for the week:
✨Don’t wait until you feel ready.
✨There is no perfect time.
✨Just do it.

What’s one thing you’re showing up for this week, even if you don’t feel like it? Me first. 👇🏾
