ON THE ‘GRAM

Upon arriving at the airport, my youngest looked a Upon arriving at the airport, my youngest looked at me and said, “Which lounge are we going to today?” Boyyyyy?!😩🫣

Meanwhile... I was just excited to get the free bag of peanuts.

There really is a fine line between giving your kids the things you didn’t have and accidentally making them think it’s the norm. We’re constantly reminding them that these experiences don’t just happen. They come from hard work, sacrifice, and consistency.

Because the goal isn’t to raise kids who expect everything. It’s to raise kids who understand what it took to make it possible. 🤎

Parents... how do you teach gratitude without taking away the fun?
Another year. Another reason to gather. 🥂✨ The ol Another year. Another reason to gather. 🥂✨

The older I get, the more I realize birthdays aren’t about the number, they’re about the people who make life sweeter.

We all know adult friendships require more scheduling than a doctor’s appointment. 😂 Between work, kids, and trying to remember what day it is, getting everyone together feels like winning the lottery.

Life moves fast, but the people who make you laugh until your belly and cheeks hurt? They’re worth making time for.

Here’s to making the plans, taking the pictures, and never needing a special occasion to remind the people we love that they matter. ❤️
Sometimes the only RSVP you need is your own. 😂 Tu Sometimes the only RSVP you need is your own. 😂 Turns out “solo dolo” wasn’t nearly as scary as the stories I made up in my head. Choosing yourself feels awkward... until it starts feeling like CONFIDENCE.

THIS is your reminder to say yes to your *why*, even if it means showing up alone. You never know what, or who is waiting on the other side of that door.

What’s one thing you’ve been putting off because you’d have to do it by yourself? 👀
..and yes, I was squealing the entire time!😂 To f ..and yes, I was squealing the entire time!😂

To fit the amount of people in one 30 second video is impossible, but so fortunate I got to meet everyone in person. Big or small, they all were so warm and inviting.

If you haven’t, make sure to follow them all🤎Worth it.
This little recap doesn’t do my experience justice This little recap doesn’t do my experience justice.

To the gorgeous men and women who attended, the extensive activations, the seamless interactions, the panels, the generosity?

Thank you, @blackbeautyroster 🤎✨
Can’t wait till next year!

(Next time, I’ll def bring some cute flat sandals.)
Be honest…what are we rating this look? The way I Be honest…what are we rating this look?

The way I was stressing for weeks over what to wear? I almost made it an excuse NOT to go to the @blackbeautyroster event! Pulled this old faithful out and kept it moving….

So much more to share with y’all! The girlies were OUT🔥

Linked the entire look on my LTK - make sure you follow me there. (Hint: they see it first😘😉)
@blackbeautyroster WOW!🤩🙌🏾🤎 I couldn’t sleep the @blackbeautyroster WOW!🤩🙌🏾🤎

I couldn’t sleep the night before due to nerves, waking up at the crack of dawn, and surviving raw foot pads due to standing and walking in heels, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

And to think, I wasn’t going to go?! Linking with the most beautiful people and experiencing being in a space with so much talent, what was I thinking?!

Have you experienced this event?
Confession time... 🙋🏽‍♀️ There was a time when I’ Confession time... 🙋🏽‍♀️

There was a time when I’d feel guilty for doing *anything* that didn’t involve checking something off someone else’s to-do list.

Take a walk? 🤔
“Guilt.”

Get my hair done? 🤔
“Guilt.”

Sit in the Target parking lot with an iced latte and absolutely no agenda? Somehow... also guilt. 😂

Here’s what I know. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.

These days, I’ve stopped waiting until I’m completely burnt out to choose myself. It doesn’t have to be a vacation or a spa day. Sometimes it’s 15 quiet minutes, an iced latte, and not answering “Mom?” for a whole five minutes.

And guess what? The laundry is still there. The dishes are still there. The world kept spinning. Imagine that! 😂

Sooooooo, let’s normalize putting ourselves on the calendar without apologizing for it.

Now I have to know... what’s your guilt-free self-care ritual? Drop it in the comments because I’m always looking for new ideas (and yes, “hiding in my car” is a completely acceptable answer). 👇🤎
