Headband Wigs: The New Throw On & Go Hairstyle

If you have been a part of my community, you are aware of my transition from relaxed to natural hair. To be transparent, the road has been a difficult one. The in-between stage of understanding my natural hair texture, products to help in growth, low/high porosity, how to obtain defined curls, etc. was all too much to figure out as a Newbie Naturalist-a. Through the struggle of finding my groove, headband wigs came to the forefront.

The Evolution

So…BOOM!  The popularity of headband wigs swooped in and took a hold of me instantly! If you are not familiar with this term, they are simply wigs with headbands attached to them. The wigs do not require any glue or thread as the headband (which secures with Velcro in the back) holds the wig in place. Super easy to put on (and take off), with a range of different styles and textures to choose from. The upkeep is fairly simple and your daily hair routine is slashed in half.

Let me start off by saying, first impressions are everything.  The quality in packaging is worth noting. Here are the details:

• A set of fashionable press-on nails and a colored scrunchie.

Now on to this hair, Chile!  I received the Wet and Wavy Affordable Headband Wig in 22inches, color 1B.  Hair is full bodied, extremely soft, and washed well.  I can wear it in its natural wavy state or straight, up or down if I like.  It’s the “throw on and go” versatility for me that will keep me going back to purchase more.  Follow me on Instagram to see how I rocked this style and let me know what you think!
