How to Make: (Sparkling) Blood Orange Mocktail

Blood Orange Mocktail

Are you participating in a “dry” January? If so, this easy blood orange mocktail is the perfect beverage to add in your recipe arsenal for yourself, the kiddos, or your next gathering!

As we know, the winter months can bring on runny noses, the cold, and/or flu. As a way to help boost the immune system, vitamin C is an excellent source to combat these symptoms. Cue in the blood oranges! Rich in anti-oxidants and highly nutritious this fruit contains vitamin A, potassium, dietary fiber, and other minerals which offer unique health benefits.

Soooo why not make a drink out of it?! Get this…this mocktail calls for only FOUR ingredients! Serve it right away at your next cocktail party or for your family alongside breakfast – such a win win. Can we skip to the good part? Yasss! Let’s get into how easy this is made.

How To:

Like I mentioned, this recipe calls for only four ingredients. Blood oranges, honey, vanilla, and sparking water. Adding ice and rosemary (for garnish) are optional.

I used my hands to squeeze the liquid out, but if you have a juicer or citrus reamer, go for it! Once you have the amount of juice desired, add in honey and vanilla and shake. (PRO TIP: Make sure to add the honey to room temperature liquid. This ensures the honey dissolves and distributes evenly.) Pour the liquid into a glass and add a splash of sparkling water (lime, lemon, or plain will do). From there, enjoy! This winter spritzer will be a requested favorite in no time!

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. blood orange juice (freshly squeezed – preferred)
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 oz. (lime, lemon, or plain) sparkling water
  • OPTIONAL: Rosemary for garnish

If you try, let me know in the comments below. Cheers to a “dry” January! For those that are NOT participating in “dry” January, this Apple Cider Sangria is one of my favorites in the colder months.

Ma’am…I was just floating in the pool 48 hours ago Ma’am…I was just floating in the pool 48 hours ago. Now you want me to meal plan?!

There’s something about getting back into the daily grind that reminds me how much we moms carry.

The routines, the responsibilities, the work, the family. And somehow still trying to find a little time for ourselves in the middle of it all.

Vacation was nice. But getting back to real life? We got this💪🏾

Being a mom and a wife doesn’t always fit neatly into the picture people have in their heads of what ambition is supposed to look like.

Maybe the path you want doesn’t look traditional.
Maybe it doesn’t make sense to everyone.
Maybe you’re building it in the 20-minute pockets between everything else.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just need enough audacity to take the first step and enough stubbornness to keep taking the next one. 😂

Work-life balance?😂 Whoever named it “balance” c Work-life balance?😂

Whoever named it “balance” clearly wasn’t trying to answer a work email while remembering it’s spirit week, clothes need to be folded, and somebody has soccer practice in 20 minutes.

TBH, juggling it all is hard. And some days, one ball *will* hit the floor. That’s okay. Work-life balance isn’t about splitting your time 50/50, it’s about figuring out what works for *your* life in *this* season.

✨ Two things:
• **Time-block one thing just for YOU.** Even if it’s only 20 minutes. Put it on your calendar like it’s a meeting because everyone gets your time... you deserve some too.
• **Stop chasing perfection.** Every task doesn’t deserve an A+. Sometimes a solid B+ gets the job done, and honestly... nobody is handing out trophies for folding fitted sheets perfectly. 😅

Give yourself permission to adjust, pivot, and redefine “balance” as life changes. You’re not failing. You’re human.

What’s one thing you’ve started doing that has made juggling work and life a little easier?
If your eyebrows ever looked like distant cousins If your eyebrows ever looked like distant cousins instead of sisters…pull up a chair. 😂

Listen, I don’t wake up with “I just left the brow salon” eyebrows either. These babies require a little teamwork. Today, I’m showing you a beginner friendly tutorial on exactly how I fill them in so they look natural, lifted, and don’t disappear halfway through the day.

Now tell me, what’s your biggest eyebrow struggle? Matching them? Sparse spots? Finding the right product?

Let’s talk in the comments!
