February is known to be the month dedicated to love and romance. Due to the national recognized holiday of Valentine’s Day, many show up romantically for their significant partners and sweethearts. On the flip side, February can be a time to really focus in on self-love and self-care. As well as ensuring solid relationships with family/friends and those that you care for are on a strong foundation.
To show my love to you, I rounded up my favorite “love-themed” dishes (and drink!)that can be served any time of the year, for any function. Whether it be breakfast in bed for your teen, a snack for your kiddos after school, or a drink served for an at home girls’ night, these recipes are all tasty that anyone and everyone will enjoy.
Heart-Shaped Cinnamon Rolls
First up, heart-shaped cinnamon rolls. Who doesn’t love a warm, sugary, cinnamon treat?! Instead of plopping the dough down on a baking pan, I took it up a notch and made them into heart shapes. My children love cinnamon rolls, so surprising them with a creative heart shaped version, made me “Mom of the Year”. Here’s how I did it:
Rosewater Lemon Spritzer
Next, my version of a Rosewater Lemon Spritzer. First of all, I didn’t realize there was rosewater you can consume! I did some research and found these benefits: “rose water contains vitamins A, B, C, and E, as well as flavonoids and other antioxidants.” You can read more of the benefits here.
With all of this information, I went to Whole Foods and purchased a bottle to try and sample. I have to say, it was delicious and the smell was *chefs kiss*. Here’s how I did it:
Heart-cuterie Board
Lastly, my Heart-cuterie Board. My favorite of the bunch because there are so many versions that can be executed based on personal preferences. I found these heart shaped chicken nuggets (another Mom-of-the-year score) and purchased the mini heart shaped waffle-maker on Amazon. Added some of our favorite fruits and powered donuts and wha-la!
