Im not a mascara snob at all, but live for one that can do its job without the need to splurge. What I look for is a wand that is substantial, has longevity throughout the day, provides length, and volume. Is that too much to ask for? Nope, not at all. There are so many affordable options that can be found in drugstores like Target, Ulta, and even Amazon these days that I was bound to find one that would ultimately be my favorite.
