I have been a fan of Pillsbury cinnamon buns since I was a kid and love the fact that my I see my children are loving up on them too! I get requests from them every Sunday to make a batch and honestly that luxurious smell of cinnamon, butter, and bread is hard to resist. Last Easter, I found a twist on this super delicious recipe which I made as a dish for my family’s annual brunch. IT. WAS. A. HIT!
If you don’t know by now, I love a quick, simple, and easy recipe that is kid approved and this one checks off all the boxes. Not for nothing, I may be whipping up a batch this year for Easter and figured since we’re all friends, I’ll share! All ingredients are easy to find and probably already in your pantry. See below for full recipe and directions.
Ingredients:
*2 tubes of refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
* 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
* 6 eggs
* 1/2 cup milk
* 2 tsp cinnamon
* 2 tsp vanilla
* 1 cup maple syrup
Directions:
- Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 9×13 glass baking dish.
- Pop open the cinnamon rolls and place the icing aside. We’ll use that later. 🙂
- Cut each cinnamon roll into eight pieces and spread evenly over the butter
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla, and pour over the cinnamon rolls.
- Pour one cup of maple syrup over the mixture.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes.
- Top with the icing from the cinnamon rolls package and ENJOY the goodness!
