I’m usually pretty good at having things prepared for a holiday event, but this year I am behind! With Halloween approaching pretty quickly, I opted to pull together these easy to make treats for my kiddos. To be honest, this route immediately took the weight off once they were all done!
Mummy Cake Pops
I’m not one to spend HOURS in the kitchen whipping up festive treats. However, I love doing them for my kiddos to enjoy. I came across a quick video of this treat and thought I can try it on my own AND make it in time for the holiday. Instead of baking a cake and molding pops, I opted to go with the Hostess Twinkies to cut back time significantly. Ive included the items needed below in case there may be something you need before starting!
What You Need:
These cake pops are also customizable in which you can use any type of chocolate or add sprinkles OR can be used for specific holidays and/or birthdays.
Cinnamon Bun Guts
I mean, who doesn’t love cinnamon buns? My kiddos love them so I decided to make it a treat for Halloween, but with a twist! All that is needed to be done is to unravel the cinnamon roll on to your baking sheet creating a wavy motion – giving the appearance of guts. While the cinnamon rolls are in the oven, pop open the glaze and mix in strawberry jelly. Once the rolls are fully baked, pour the glaze mixture over and enjoy!
What You Need:
NOTE: The heavy whipping cream is optional. If you caught my IG post here, this was the first time I used the cream within the recipe. When something doesn’t taste good, my kiddos are the first to let you know! I think I passed the test!
