I am not a major fan of boxed cereals or the microwaveable oatmeal packets and stopping at a fast food drive thru isn’t something I want to do on a daily basis. So, I decided to try this healthy no-cook option of overnight oats and ever since, its been a staple.
Now that going back into the office has become a regular part of my routine, easy make-ahead breakfast has been my fall back. With busy and active mornings with the coconuts, there are many benefits of making my own overnight oats and feel like Im eating healthier in the morning.
- Most of the ingredients are already in my pantry
- Super easy and doesn’t take much time to prepare the night before
- Grab and go, wholesome breakfast
- Ingredients are cheap and can fill you up for most of the morning
Preparation
Overnight oat recipes are simple to prepare and can be made 2-4 days ahead of time. Storing your oats in the refrigerator OR freezing the dry ingredients (until you are ready to use) is a super simple way of meal prepping for your week. I like to use mason jars that seal tightly and easily fit within my work bag and enjoy the variety of different versions throughout the work week.
Versatile and delicious all while saving money and time?? A no brainer.
