Anyone who really knows me, know I live for a good hairstyle which is easy to do on my own, super cute, quick, and can hold up the sweltering heat we have been experiencing here in the northeast. Searching for that one inspiring hairstyle that doesn’t require me sitting in a stylist chair for hours was my mission, and ladies and gentlemen, I think I found it.
Pinterest will always be my platform to search for inspiration whether it be a room refresh within in my home, trending clothing styles, or my next hairstyle inspiration. When I came across this braid crown look, I said “Uhhhh, sign me up!” Its a style that has definitely come through in a clutch when the event is hours away but I didn’t have much time to focus on my hair. With children who are always on the go and my to-do list ever-growing, finding a simple hairstyle that required only a few supplies was right up my ally. I know there may be multiple ways of doing this, but sharing the one that works for me. Let’s get into what you will need.
Supplies to Purchase:
- 48′ (or more) pre-stretched synthetic braiding hair
- Pack of bobby pins
- Styling gel (like Eco – Styler) shown
Directions:
- Use gel to slick back hair into a low ponytail
- Braid the synthetic hair and use a small rubber band at the end to secure (ensure rubber band at the top is in place)
- Wrap rubber band around your ponytail and begin pinning until secure
